In the 1970’s Dave Mason began to suffer from a health problem and turned to a new health measure called “jogging”. He secured the recommended shoes and the entire family began enjoying the jogging meets held throughout the state. As he was continually asked where to secure the proper shoes, he began taking a few pairs to the meets. Before Dave and Sandy Mason realized it, they had a business underway.
Dave and Sandy began studying proper fit procedures for shoes, especially those people with foot problems. After years of selling shoes out of their van, the Masons opened their first store front in 1978 at Dailey’s Mall in Delta, Ohio. They advertised nationally and shipped shoes all over the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Scandinavia, France, England, and Africa.
